| God no. No abusive father. Everyone wants to stick abuse in the story to add character development. It should be added to the Mary Sue Litmus test. Make the story about someone who is just lonely, if you want a depression factor, and maybe the love interest could be the person that becomes the girl's true friend, and eventually a boyfriend. And don't have a family illness either. Family illness=abusive father. Really overused and generally poorly done. |
| What is a fresh everyday look for teens that is mom approved? i just want my skin to look more matte. i have olive skin that is on the lighter side, and green eyes. i have really oily skin, and i'd also like to control that. |
| Natural. That's the look for you. 1) Neutral colors on the lips.. clear or almost nude which means you want a color that is close to the shade of your lips.. a gloss is nice and will enhance your lips to complete your look. You want your lips to look natural or close to natural.. which looks very pretty when it's done right. Try experimenting. I reccomend the MAC glosses, they have alot of different shades that are very pretty. Put some kind of a base on your lips under the gloss to make it last longer.. otherwise gloss comes off very quickly. If you goto a makeup counter like MAC they can teach you the best way to do your lips. (and no I don't work for them ;p) 2) light brown eyeliner or shadow to line the eyes.. very softly.. very gently.. not so that you look made-up, but so that your eyes are enhanced. you can use either a very light brown pencil gently, almost feathering, or lightly touching at the eye instead of really penciling in. Or you can use a shadow with a wet brush to line.. again using the same technique of lightly dabbing it across the eye instead of drawing a line. 3) brown or clear mascara on top lashes very lightly. Just focus on the tips of the lashes...using the brush at a sideways angle, just gently touching at them. Do not make the mistake of going for a full sweep of the lashes as it'll deposit wayyy to much product for a natural look. DON'T touch the bottom lashes! 4) Clean N' Clear has a product that is a must have for any girl with oily skin. believe me once you try it, you will be grateful for the advice. ;) It's a little blue paper envelope.. and it has oil absorbing sheets in it. Carry a package in your bag, and whenever you feel oily just blot your face. MAC makes the same things but they are about 9 dollars more. So look for Clean N' Clear at your local drugstore (sometimes they can be hard to find.) Walgreen's makes their generic of this product too. It's about $3. MAC's is $13. 5) You can use a translucent or pressed powder and a very soft blush brush to absorb oil and make your skin matte. The key is to go very GENTLY, slowly building up product on your face, it takes practice. Most girls/women make the mistake of loading a brush up with powder and that is what makes a face end up looking caked. Not a nice look. You want to look for a powder that is a match to your skin tone or a shade or 2 lighter for summer/spring. Shade or 2 darker for winter. Be careful with what you buy in a store, you really need to test a product out on your skin to get a perfect match. What looks right on the shelf, often looks wrong on the face..and you end up wasting money. So TESTING one out is the key. Good Luck with finding your new look. |

There is never alcohol in the rooms or outside the building, same with drugs, people may come drunk or high but there is never any inside the building. | A way to fresh up a teen room? I'm looking for a way to fresh up a very boring teen room. In the past, I've gotten a lot of answers to buy teen magazines, but I was hoping for something online as magazines aren't readily available where I live. | We just finished redecoraing our daughter's bedroom. 2 walls are bright orange and the other 2 are a deep blue. We added accents such as a large wall mirror that is constructed with birch wood frame, flowers are in orange and blue striped vases (bought at a dollar store). Picture frames (black frames) with black and white photos look very nice on the orange wall. We have a large pictue frame that shows a collage of her and her friends and we purchased a purple chinese paper lantern at ebay.
